Eighty percent of elementary school children in Oklahoma City are unable to read the time from a clock because they are so used to getting it digitally from smartphones and iPads, a jaw-dropping study has found.
According to KFOR-TV, the findings of the local survey reveal that just one in five kids, ages six to 12, can read a clock. And only 1-in-10 youngsters even own a watch.
"I think the exposure to technology, everyone's so used to seeing digital. They all have cell phones and tablets so they don't have to look at a clock very often that's analog," Caitlin Carnes, who works for the Boys & Girls Club at Santa Fe South Elementary, told the TV station.
