President Donald Trump announced Wednesday the United States is on its way to opening back up on Twitter.

"States are safely coming back,” the president Tweeted Wednesday morning. “Our Country is starting to OPEN FOR BUSINESS again.”

His tweet comes as several governors announced plans to reopen businesses in their states as soon as this week.

Trump outlined the White House’s recommendations for reopening the country, but ultimately said governors will have control over when to reopen their states.

He gave a shout out to his peers, senior citizens, saying, “special care is, and always will be, given to our beloved seniors.”

Senior citizens seem to be at a higher risk for developing more serious complications from the coronavirus, according to the CDC

He finished his message with, “Their lives will be better than ever…WE LOVE YOU ALL!”
