Howard Schultz, executive chairman of Starbucks, said back in February that President Donald Trump's actions were affecting the economy.
"We have a president that is creating episodic chaos every single day, and that is no doubt affecting consumer behavior and consumer sentiment," Schultz said at the time, according to a video obtained by Business Insider.
"The world is screwed up. People are unsettled . . . there is a tremendous amount of pressure and anxiety in America," Schultz said in the video.
However, Starbucks can help customers, with its "sense of community . . . and the environment that we create around family," Schultz said, per the Insider.
At the time of the video, Schultz was the CEO of Starbucks, a role he stepped down from in April, the Insider report said.
Schultz has frequently expressed criticism of Trump. In January, Starbucks said it would hire 10,000 refugees after the president banned refugees from entering the U.S. Such hiring has not hurt the company's business, Fortune reported in March.
While Schultz has said he has no plans to run for president, when he made his last speech as Starbucks CEO in March, it sounded like a political speech, according to the Financial Times.
