President-elect Donald Trump reportedly uses Scotch tape to hold his tie together, writes Hunter Schwarz for the Independent Journal Review.
The tape is visible in photographs taken of Trump exiting his plane before going to visit the Carrier plant in Indianapolis on Thursday. As he got off the plane, the wind blew his tie, revealing the tape on the back.
Schwarz notes Trump apparently knotted his tie too long, needing the tape to hold it together.
According to the Indy Star, at the plant visit, Trump said when he mentioned Carrier during his campaign, it was on a general topic about keeping manufacturing jobs from leaving the U.S. But then he saw a Carrier worker on TV and decided to act on behalf of the plant.
