President-elect Donald Trump on Friday slammed the "so-called 'A' list celebrities" who want tickets to his inauguration, saying he wants "the people" to attend, instead.
Trump tweeted:
The Radio City Music Hall's Rockettes, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and teen singer Jackie Evancho will perform at the inaugural event on Jan. 20.
The Beach Boys could also perform at the event.
"He's been a friend for a long time," said Mike Love, the group's lead singer. "Does that mean I agree with everything he says? No, but… if we were asked, I'm sure that we would."
The 1960s icon of California surf rock has performed in the past for former Presidents Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan.
According to Mic, a number of artists have publicly refused offers to participate in the event, including Elton John, Garth Brooks, Andrea Bocelli, Idina Menzel, and Ice T.
