Donald Trump might only be a part-time resident of the White House.
The New York Times reported the president-elect is already talking with his advisers about how many nights a week he will actually stay in the official presidential mansion. According to the newspaper he has told them he would like to do what he always has – spend time in New York.
Trump, according to the newspaper, was shocked when he won the election and is trying to come to terms that his life is about to change. The Times noted that during the campaign he often flew hours late at night just to sleep in his own bed in Trump Towers in New York City.
And, the newspaper reported, Trump also enjoys his visiting his golf course in New Jersey and his Mar-a-Lago estate in South Florida on weekends.
Trump’s wife, Melania, is expected to move to Washington. But the newspaper noted, their 10-year-old son Barron, is midway through the school year in New York. It is unclear when Melania and Barron would officially take up residence in the White House.
