Hillary Clinton will be "sorely missed" from the 2020 presidential race, President Donald Trump quipped Tuesday on Twitter.
"'(Crooked) Hillary Clinton confirms she will not run in 2020, rules out a third bid for White House.' Aw-shucks, does that mean I won't get to run against her again? She will be sorely missed!"
Clinton on Monday ruled out a presidential run, telling a New York news outlet she plans instead to work with candidates in the crowded Democratic field – Sens. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., have already announced bids and former Vice President Joe Biden is mulling entering the race.
Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Tuesday also announced he was not running in 2020.
"I'm not going anywhere," Clinton told News12. "What's at stake in our country, the kind of things that are happening right now are deeply troubling to me. And I'm also thinking hard about how do we start talking and listening to each other again? We've just gotten so polarized. We've gotten into really opposing camps unlike anything I've ever seen in my adult life."
