Warren Buffett pledged his support for Hillary Clinton's possible presidential run through a $25,000 donation to the Ready for Hillary PAC last quarter.

Buffett's donation is the group's maximum allowed for a single person, reports Bloomberg.  Buffett is the fourth richest man in the world, according to Forbes.

Bloomberg reports that the donation marked the first time Buffett had given to an independent political group. Ready for Hillary has now raised $11 million, despite the fact that Clinton, the former first lady, New York senator, and secretary of state, has yet to announce whether she'll run for president.

It was reported Thursday that Clinton is searching for a campaign manager to lead her 2016 run.

The Ready for Hillary PAC is not tied in any way to Clinton, but is laying a foundation of a potential run through its fundraising activities. The group is also poised to send letters to every ZIP code in the United States, asking for donations.

Recent polls have Clinton leading the cast of Democrats who could launch a White House run ahead of the 2016 election.
