Hamas launched another barrage of rockets from the Gaza Strip at central Israel on Thursday night, reportedly the third such attack that day.

Police were dealing with rocket debris that fell near Rehovot, which is about 18 miles south of Tel Aviv, The Jerusalem Post reported, citing a police spokesperson.

The debris set fire to a utility pole and there have been reports of widespread power outages in the area, The Times of Israel reported, adding there were no reports of injuries.

A post on X showed a map of where the strikes hit, including the cities of Rehovot, Tel Aviv, Petah Tikvah, Bnei Brak, Rishon LeZion, Ramat Gan, Herzliya, Holon, and Givatayim. Another post on X, by i24 News in Israel, shows a video of rockets flying over Tel Aviv.

The Times of Israel reported it was the third barrage of rockets launched toward central Israel on Thursday.

There has been no let-up in the number of rockets Hamas has launched at Israel since its Oct. 7 terrorist attack in the southern part of the Jewish state, when it launched about 5,000 rockets that day as cover for a terrorist invasion from Gaza that led to the slaughter of more than 1,400 Israelis. More than 200 were kidnapped and taken back to Gaza as hostages. Some hostages have since been released.

Israel responded to the attack by an aerial bombardment of Gaza. Its military is preparing a massive ground assault on Gaza to root out Hamas terrorists and rescue hostages.
