Piers Morgan appears ready to run for British prime minister.

Morgan, who serves as co-host on “Good Morning Britain,” said he is definitely not opposed to the idea.

"As for politics … listen, if it’s my turn to serve, and the people want me …" he told The Sun newspaper.

“Who am I to ignore the will of the people?”

According to a video clip posted on The Sun’s website, Morgan has slammed Prime Minister Boris Johnson for saying the government did everything it could to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

“That’s a complete lie, isn’t it,” Morgan said. “You didn’t do everything you could. You could have done an awful lot more and we wouldn’t have to be in this horrendous mess. The worst death rate in the world last week over a seven-day average. We are so far ahead of any comparative country, it is shameful.”

And he added: “The obvious conclusion is that (Johnson) did a lot of things wrong — and I want to start hearing this government admitting it.

Meanwhile, Morgan is begging actress Elizabeth Hurley to put some clothes on after she posted "creepy" photos of herself wearing nothing but a coat and white bikini bottoms in the snow on social media.

"Yeah, she looks fabulous, but what are you doing Liz?" he said.
