The United States is coming to an end . . . each side accuses each other of hating America . . . the sense of being under occupation dominates … every political faction operates under a siege mentality … everyone wants to build a wall. — Stephen Marche (1976- )
The surreal setting for President Biden’s speech last night said it all.
It didn’t just say that Biden is frighteningly out of touch with America's stark reality; it's becoming increasingly more obvious — daily.
After Biden’s menacing speech, one thing stands out, and becoming more and more clear: the last stop on the Democrats runaway crusade train is a cultural civil war.
Picture the scene: blood-red backlighting with two Marines flanking the president's back was an unspoken but graphically clear message to his enemies and a precursor to the battle ahead.
Not a protracted fight against the Taliban, al-Quaida, the Communists of Cuba, or China —but a war against other Americans who didn’t vote for him, don’t support him, don't support the left, and want him removed immediately.
Despite the left’s spin-machine, mendacious polls and outright lies, there are plenty of these folks to go around. And let’s never forget, there's strength in numbers.
We know all too well who comprises those numbers: the people who work hard, support their families, pay their taxes, care for their elderly, go to church, teach their children American values, and love this country.
In other words, the exact opposite of today’s Democrats.
Since Trump’s ride down the escalator, loopy Marxist politicians and their slobbering media monolith have been talking about, nay coming right out and saying that Trump is taking us to civil war.
But as always, a simple internet search turns up the evidence I knew was right there, going back to 2015.
For example, more than seven months ago MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell did an enlarged segment on how the Right in America was heading the docile, pacifist Democrats in America toward . . . civil war.
In his hit piece, O’Donnell starts off with a quote from none other than George Washington — as if he and his ilk don’t publicly despise our Founding Fathers — to rerun the raggedy claims of "insurrection" in the segment, then uses a New York Times article ("Is Civil War Coming to America?") as fodder to deceitfully claim that Trump and his patriotic followers want a civil war.
The United States is descending into the kind of sectarian conflict usually found in poor countries with histories of violence, not the world’s most enduring democracy and largest economy.
—Stephen Marche (1976- )
The bullying O’Donnell then brought up two books, "How Civil Wars Start" by Barbara F. Walter and "The Next Civil War" by Stephen Marche, who is Canadian.
O’Donnell smiles as Marche makes the insane claim that "the United States is a textbook case of a country headed for civil war." This on the part of MSNBC, and other left media, appears to be wishful thinking on steroids.
Alinksky-loving Democrats: their media, academia, sports, and Hollywood allies have been laying out this kind of bait for a long, long time.
And this writer has never been afraid of it, for two significant reasons:
Number one, the Democrats always seemingly twist the numbers, whether it’s the polls, unemployment/inflation/immigration rates and just about any number we ever hear depart their lips.
So when they manufacture numbers about how conservatives are in the vast minority in America, this makes them think they can win a protracted battle with the right.
They can’t. We are the dominant majority.
And the second reason is this: Why in the world would people like the more-than-timid left (who are fearful of guns) want to start a civil war against an "enemy," one that overwhelmingly supports the Second Amendment?
If the Democrats are as out of touch, as they seem to be, why wouldn't they try to start a struggle for America’s soul, then wholly blame it on us?
Us, being the hard-working, family-oriented, elderly-loving, tax-paying, church-going, values-oriented Americans that we, on the right side of things, are — and always have been.
