Biden Must Reverse Course, Admit Failure on Iran

The time is now for President Joe Biden to immediately recall his State Department representatives in Vienna and to issue a public statement that diplomatic efforts with the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) have failed.

For the last six weeks, Special Envoy to Iran Rob Malley, a former Obama appointee, has been in Vienna with his team "negotiating" with the IRI's representatives and the Europen Union EU nations.

During these six weeks, the IRI launched attacks in the region through their terrorist proxies on U.S. allies and U.S. bases.

If the IRI was serious about seeking a peaceful deal with the United States of America then they wouldn't be in a de facto state of war against the United States of America (through their proxies).

It's worth noting that predictably, the IRI is acting like the terrorists due to this because of policy; which can only be described as appeasement.

A policy which emanantes from President Biden, and those with like minds.

Tragically, it's the one thing they're actually quite good at. 

Biden has taken a soft approach in dealing with Tehran's mullahs; because of this genuinely flawed approach, America's allies and our assets in the region remain in harm's way.

This scenario is totally unacceptable, and serves as an issue all Americans should raise their voices over.

The American people don't stand to benefit in any way from diplomacy with the global leader of state sponsored terrorism and most notorious human rights abuser.

Aren't our elected officials tasked with carrying out the will of their constituents?

The short and very direct answer to that question is "Yes" they are.

So, if that's the case, why is President Biden pushing so hard to normalize relations with the IRI?

Is it because the American people are demanding this or is it for other nefarious reasons?

Sadly, it's probably the latter. I, for one, have never met an American who expressed their enthusiasm for diplomacy with the IRI.

Now with the recent selection of Iran's new President, Ebrahim "The Butcher" Raisi, the Iranian Regime will move to a more hardline approach regarding relations with the United States.

Raisi has already signaled that he will not meet with President Biden, and that the IRI will not sit down for negotiations with the USA until all sanctions are lifted.

It's also worth noting that Raisi himself is currently on a U.S. sanctions list.

While I and millions of Iranians seek peace with their neighbors, peace with Israel, and prosperity for all Iranians, Raisi and the Islamic Republic’s elite do not share such desires.

With the selection of Raisi, we can be guaranteed Tehran will:

• Continue to chant "Death to America" and "Death to Israel."
• Continue to censor the voices of the Iranian people by restricting social media apps and limiting internet usage.
• Continue to imprison and execute Iranians who speak out against the regime, without fair trials.
• Continue to spend billions every year funding their terrorist proxies around the world such as Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. (Hamas and Hezbollah are both listed on the U.S. State Department’s Foreign Terrorist Organization list).
• Continue to support the honor killings of LGBTQ members of the Iranian community.
• Continue to severely restrict women’s opportunity in the workforce.
• Continue to oppress the religious minorities inside Iran.

In short, the Islamic Republic will continue its campaign of to censorship, oppression, and murder of its own citizens, while funding terrorism — globally.

President Biden needs to publicly acknowledge who the IRI is today and who they will continue to be in the future.

It’s encumbent on all nations, their leaders, and their citizenry to publicly speak out against the Iranian regime and in support of the Iranian people.

The day will come when the people of Iran can enjoy the freedoms that so many citizens of the world enjoy.

However, this is not going to happen if America continues to embolden this regime!

Until that day comes, I will continue raising my voice in support of the Iranian people and I hope that the American people will join me.

President Biden must courageously admit defeat on diplomatic efforts with the IRI and reverse course — now.
