Thursday, 24 October 2024 08:29 AM EDT

U.S. supplier Spirit AeroSystems will lay off workers and impose more drastic furloughs if Boeing's machinist strike extends beyond next month, a company spokesperson said on Wednesday.

"Should the strike continue beyond the end of November, financial pressures and a significant inventory buffer will require us to implement layoffs and more drastic furloughs," spokesperson Joe Buccino said in a statement.
