The mainstream media has reduced itself to being the right hand of the Democratic Party. Their hatred of Donald Trump and the belief that their candidate, Hillary Clinton, somehow was shafted by invisible forces preventing her ascendency to the throne are unparalleled.
What they won’t tell their dwindling viewer and readership is the truth about their disjointed and despair-ridden political party. The Democrats are in big trouble, despite the media’s claims that Trump has done everything except kill your first born son.
Since the election of Barack Obama in 2008, the Democratic Party has lost thousands of federal, state, and local seats in government. From the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives own to state and local offices, Democrats are on the run. That is not to mention the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as federal and state judgeships.
The mere fact that Hillary Clinton could lose Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Ohio and Florida for the Democratic Party in one election is proof that the country is changing. But the Democrats and their far-left contribution money is not. The midterm elections, traditionally a feast for the out-of-power political party, is becoming a great concern to Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and her frightened minions.
Pelosi, her colleagues, and their staunch allies in the media have not gotten America’s message. The country is tired of the establishment, and for the sake of a tired cliché, the Washington, D.C. swamp needs draining. Their message of anti-Trump 24/7 is not resonating, and is in fact, gravely hurting them.
Where are the new faces of the Democratic Party? Take for instance the far left’s hero, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. In his mid-seventies, in 2016, he was to be the fresh face of the party
Sanders radical message of utopian socialism resonated with young Democrats who had never seen a tax return in their lives. His pipe-dream of pseudo-communism in a country founded on capitalism resonated in parent’s basements across the nation.
Alas, his youthful popularity of free tuition and free almost everything else lost out to the Hillary Clinton establishment and a corrupted Democratic National Committee (DNC) leadership. But the senator’s hopes of radical fiscal ideas turned him into the default financial guru on the far left.
Leftist Americans turned to Sanders as Mrs. Clinton toured the country reliving what could have been if not for the Russians. Sanders emerged as the white knight who would crusade against student loan debt and health insurance. His ideas would fuel the flames as long as the other person’s money allowed it to happen.
The reality is Bernie’s financial responsibility is little more than words the left can consider "inclusive" and "compassionate." He represents nothing more than granola-communism.
Yet the millions in contributions from the Northeast elite and Hollywood liberals make Bernie the front-runner for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. The bench at present consists of retread Hillary, former Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State John Kerry, and a few other unwinnable candidates espousing ideas as tired as "I Love Lucy" reruns.
Sen. Sanders' main threat emanates from far-left liberal Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.
The entire scenario is shaping up as a repeat of the disastrous McGovern/Shriver presidential ticket of 1972 that was annihilated by Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew in the pre-Watergate of 1972.
In the midst of this soon-to-be Democratic Party political train wreck, they face the 2018 midterm elections with a host of vulnerable incumbent senators up for re-election in a country angrier than a hive of mad bees. By all predictions, their best bet is losing only three seats and a modest gain in the U.S. House
Meanwhile, with no bench and no message, they plod on under the same tired leadership that has seen them steadily lose seats everywhere in the last four national elections. The biased media will never tell gullible Americans that Trump is exactly where he wants to be 10 months into his presidency.
Now with the fickle finger of fate focusing on purported Democratic collusion with the Russians, there is also the possible soon-to-be story on the uranium sale by the Obama administration and a Republican administration in charge of the Department of Justice.
Being a sane Democrat means being very worried. The political tide is turning with or without the helping hand of the liberal-adoring mass media and the clown alley bench of Democrats in waiting.
