Businesses know there are many seniors out there who want to save money, and so many companies love to attract AARP members. Millions of Americans ages 50 and over have AARP cards that provide discounts for everything from restaurants and hotels to shopping establishments and health products.

There are so many companies that provide discounts for AARP members, it’s almost a certainty that any senior can find advantages for just about any of their financial needs. And more businesses are coming onboard all the time to help seniors save money.

Here are eight businesses that love AARP members:

1. Walgreens — With more than 8,000 locations nationwide, Walgreens provides exclusive benefits for AARP members, including reward points for health and wellness products and prescriptions. They also have special discounts and promotions for Seniors Day.

2. Target Optical — Target offers a variety of vision discounts from EyeMed, including 30 percent off a complete pair of eyeglasses or prescription sunglasses. There are also discounts on eye exams and contact lenses.

3. LensCrafters — AARP members can save up to 60 percent on eye exams and 30 percent on glasses.

4. Denny’s — The restaurant franchise has long been a favorite for seniors who enjoy discounted breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Depending on particular locations, Denny’s usually offers 15 percent off for AARP customers.

5. Tanger Outlets — For the latest fashions, home furnishings, and accessories, seniors get a free coupon book with their AARP membership. They can pick it up at Tanger Outlets stores, AARP notes.

7. Budget Rent-A-CarSavings for car rentals range from 10- to 25-percent for all vehicles. AARP members also get free unlimited mileage on most rentals when picking up and dropping off the car at the same location.

8. Delta Dental Insurance Company — The company provides the AARP Dental Insurance Plan to all AARP members. Several different plans are offered and there are no waiting periods on preventive services.
