Inexpensive or free attractions await visitors in and around Branson, Missouri for cheap travel. The fun never seems to stop in this entertainment center.

Here are five great attractions visitors on a budget can find while visiting Branson:

Lights, fire, music, cannons and a spectacular water display entertain onlookers at Branson Landing. The free show along the Taneycomo lakefront features special effects surrounding the 120-foot fountain near a scenic boardwalk. The show runs every hour on the hour, weather permitting. The dazzling performance was choreographed by Wet Design, which has produced displays at Disney World in Orlando and shows in Las Vegas. Music accompanying the water attractions ranges from the "Star Spangled Banner" to "Rocky Mountain Way."

2. Stone Hill Winery, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, offers tours and tastings at its Hermann location near Branson. Tours run every half hour for as little as $2.50 for adults and $1 for children, with children under 6 for free. The winery was established in 1847 and restored beginning in 1965, with picturesque buildings and vaulted underground cellars. Tour guides take visitors though the old cellars and the modern, state-of-the-art production facilities that produce some 260,000 gallons of wine a year.

3. Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery raises and releases trout for Lake Taneycomo. Take a tour of the hatchery that produces from 350,000 to 400,000 pounds of rainbow and brown trout annually. The hatchery, near Table Rock Dam and just outside of Branson, offers guided tours. Visitors can also fish nearby, see exhibits and displays or take self-guided tours of the area, which includes nearly 3 miles of nature trails through forests and wildlife locations.

4. Table Rock Lake and Dam provide cheap travel with fishing, camping and recreational activities for visitors. Explore more than 43,000 acres of land and a shoreline in the beautiful Ozark Mountain range of southwestern Missouri. Fishing enthusiasts will find bass, catfish and bluegill. Nature lovers can take in the spectacular views in the public lands that surround Table Rock Lake. Other activities include swimming, boat cruises and family picnic areas.

5. While in Branson, visitors might want to stick with entertainment at the Hollywood Wax Museum on Highway 76. See stunning figures from Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow to traditional favorites such as John Wayne and Marilyn Monroe. Tickets can range from about $18 for adults and $9 for children, but you can purchase tickets online for discounts. .
