1. Animal lovers and those who appreciate wildlife can enjoy a free tiger exhibit at T.I.G.E.R.S Preservation Station at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. Watch Bengal tigers, royal white Bengal tigers, Siberian tigers, and other beautiful cats in an outdoor environment. The fun for the whole family also involves sitting down with a full-grown tiger or holding a tiger cub and having photographs taken. The attraction also includes orangutans and other exotic animals.

2. Take in some culture for free at the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum. There are 10 galleries in the restored 1920s beach cottage with various art exhibits that change throughout the year.

The museum displays local and Southern artists as well as works from world-renowned artists, including Ansel Adams and James Audubon. The local Historic District Artists of Conway also offers a First Saturday Art Walk in Conway on the first Saturday of each month, touring galleries and studios in the area.

3. Just a few miles outside Myrtle Beach is the beautiful Vereen Botanical Gardens with wonderful hiking trails and wooden boardwalks. Walk across salt marshes and onto small islands and enjoy the beauty of nature on the scenic pathways or from an observation deck that extends over the waterway. A free day at the park also includes picnic tables and shelters for relaxation.

4. The Market Common on Farrow Parkway has a variety of free events for everyone, usually during the summer tourist season, but also throughout the year. Visit the Deville Street Farmers Market with locally grown produce or enjoy free horse and carriage rides while shopping or dining in the area.

Free movies for the whole family are offered on Friday nights at Valor Park where people watch the entertainment on blankets or lawn chairs under the stars. Other free events include Music in the Streets with live bands playing from the gazebos, usually on Wednesday evenings.

5. Myrtle Beach has been called the mini golf capital of the world with more than 50 miniature golf courses that have various themes. The miniature golf courses cost on average only about $8 for adults and $6 for children for cheap travel vacation fun. You can also find discount coupons through local establishments and hotels.
