However, before his passing, he delivered some noteworthy quotes on faith:
1. In his "Two-Minute Warning" video on the website, The Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, Colson vowed, "We will not leave our faith at the temple door."
2. Writing in the prologue of his book "The Faith," Colson said, "The Christian faith is attractive and inviting; far from an imposition, the faith is the world's great hope."
3. Elsewhere in his book "The Faith" Colson wrote about one virtue of faith, "One of the greatest virtues of the Christian faith is that it is life affirming and culture building."
4. In his book "God and Government," Colson wrote of a danger facing faith, "The church has allowed itself to become dangerously polarized into two camps: politicized and privatized views of faith. The problem is neither view has anything to do with historic Christianity."
5. Writing in his 1997 book "Loving God" Colson talked of obedience and faith, "Obedience if the key to real faith."

6. Also in that 1997 bestseller, Colson wrote, "Faith is a state of mind that grows out of our actions, just as it also governs them."
7. Colson also explained the true meaning of faith in his 2007 book, "Loving God," saying, "After all if faith depended on visible evidence it wouldn't be faith."
8.
In an article on Breakpoint discussing faith and helping those who doubt, Colson wrote, "If you have a friend who says he just can't get beyond the "intellectual objections" to faith in God, dig a little deeper. Try to find out what's really stopping him. Then, lovingly show him it's not the mind that's holding faith hostage, but the heart."
9. Colson asked some questions in a Breakpoint article and gave a solid answer, "Which, after all, is easier to believe – an infinite, soulless, universe-making machine, or a loving and powerful creator who has set in motion the awesome, just-right creation we are still only beginning to explore? Which answer you choose is, of course, ultimately a matter not of science, but of faith?"
10. An entry from Chuck Colson's book "The Faith" tells of the importance of faith today. "We call the core beliefs that have united Christians through the age's orthodoxy, or "right belief." Understanding this faith, once entrusted for all, is critically important today."
