Debate scholarships are offered by several universities, colleges, and schools. While some offer university scholarships to winning debaters, many others offer speech scholarship programs to debate team members who have shown significant academic achievements. There are also others that award debate scholarships for debate participants.

Julia Burke Foundation Scholarships: This is a women’s debate institute that offers scholarships for 10 students every year. This mission is aimed at eliminating the gender gap and encouraging women to participate in speech scholarship programs. Debate scholarship in the form of full college tuition is offered to the women debaters.
 
International Public Policy Forum (IPPF) Debate Contest: These debate scholarships encourage students to participate in written and oral debate competitions on public policies. These competitions are conducted throughout the year and the winning team gets university scholarships of $30,000. This debate contest is the only one that offers high school students a chance to partake in debates on issues related to public policy. It is free of charge to schools from all over the world. The IPPF is jointly administered by Bickel & Brewer and New York University.
