Carrie Lightfoot started the website and Facebook page by the same name after finding a serious lack of information available to girls with guns after she first became a gun owner. Over the years, she has built a comprehensive website that addresses just about every question any female gun owner, new and experienced, might come across. There is a wealth of information here that is specific to women's needs. The Well Armed Woman also has more than 180 women’s shooting chapters by the same name across the country in over 40 states, where women meet monthly for a firearms-specific meeting and/or class and then shoot as a group together.
