Hillary Clinton: Former College Republicans President

Thursday, 09 June 2011 05:02 PM EDT

Did you know that Sec. of State Hillary Clinton was once elected president of the College Republicans at Wellesley College?

Sec. Clinton won the respect of her peers and was elected to lead her campus’ CR group in just her freshman year of college.

But, by her senior year, Clinton was campaigning for Democrat Eugene McCarthy as he challenged incumbent Lyndon B. Johnson for the 1968 presidential election.

Sec. Clinton joins Karl Rove, Grover Norquist, and Lee Atwater on the list of prominent College Republican alumni.
