Korie Lucios, junior guard for the Michigan State men’s basketball team, has been benched for the remainder of the season by head coach Tom Izzo for “conduct detrimental to the program.”
In a statement, Lucios admits that he “didn’t live up to the standards of the program. Unfortunately, I let me teammates, coaches, and myself down, and wish them the best for the rest of the season.”
Lucios later took to twitter saying, “Man did I really mess up this time…” So what exactly did Lucios do to “mess up?” We may never know, but speculation continues to run rampant, and it looks like something serious.
