Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida recently told NPR he is closer to making a decision on whether he'll run for president in 2016, saying the decision would come "certainly soon."

He also said that if he makes a bid for the nation's highest office, he'd do so even if potential GOP hopeful Jeb Bush decides to run. Bush is a former governor of Florida and also a strong contender, with a strong family political dynasty that could help or hurt his chances.

Rubio's proposed path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants — his parents came to the U.S. from Cuba in 1956 — is seen as a sharp contrast to other Republicans who oppose plans that offer citizenship to illegals already in the country, considering them little different from amnesty.

Rubio's proposals — and whether he is considered a strong candidate for president — have been lighting up the Internet on Twitter.
