In countries vital to the history of Christianity, such as Syria and Iraq, the Islamic State murders Christians for their religious beliefs. 5. Caritas: An organization founded in 1897 to provide aid to those in need, Caritas is working in all countries of the Middle East. They provide emergency aid, help migrants and those involved in human trafficking. The relief agency also helps with educational, pastoral, and peace building programs.
