Gun laws all across the nation are going to be reshaped and redrawn as state legislatures sit down for their 2015 session. While some states are expecting to see changes, other states are more than likely going to remain right where they are in terms of gun laws.
Nebraska gun laws are an example of some of the most relaxed firearms regulations in the nation, as compared to more rigorous states such as California or New York.

1. No permit required for open carry
As you can see in the Twitter status above, quite a few states in the union don’t require any kind of permit to openly carry a handgun. Nebraska is one of the states that doesn’t require a permit to openly carry a handgun.
2. No permit, registration required for firearm purchase
While a lot of conservative states like Utah require permits and registration at the time of purchase for a firearm, Nebraska gun laws don’t require either of those,
according to Nebraska Shooters. Any Nebraskan can buy a firearm at any time without the need to obtain a special permit or register their weapon. The lone exception to this rule is when purchasing a handgun. A certificate must be obtained before buying a handgun in Nebraska, unless the handgun is an antique or a law enforcement agency is buying the gun.
3. No permit required for possession
In some of the more liberal states in the U.S., if a citizen wishes to simply possess a firearm, no permit is require. In New York, for example, a different kind of permit is required if you wish to possess a firearm in your home, or your place of business. One permit doesn’t cover both of those different possession situations.
According to Nebraska's gun laws, there is no required permit for possession in the state. Any citizen can have access to a firearm as long as they aren’t convicted felons and are over the age of 18.
