1. Nuts and seeds
Almonds, cashews, flax seeds, and pecans are high in magnesium. In fact, a half cup of pumpkin seeds will provide almost the daily required amount of magnesium, says Everyday Health. Create your own trail mix and put it into small bags for a quick, magnesium-rich snack.

2. Dark chocolate
A small square of dark chocolate contains almost 24 percent of the recommended daily amount of magnesium. The magnesium is found in the cocoa bean itself so experts suggest eating the bean versus the chocolate bar to avoid the sugar.

3. Low-fat yogurt
Yogurt provides an excellent source of calcium and magnesium. The combination of magnesium and calcium in yogurt helps the body absorb calcium and other nutrients, says Everyday Health.
