There is a nursery rhyme called “Little Drops of Water:”

Little drops of water

Little grains of sand,

Make the mighty ocean,

And the beauteous land.

I chose this children's poem to reflect what has been going on in this country for almost 3 years.

The constant drip of negativism in so many aspects of our lives has been, as the poem says, little drops of anger, hatred, racial bigotry, and more. These drips have created a toxic environment for all of us and is destroying the American stone of liberty.

When one candidate for the Democratic nomination for president tells us that if you vote for one candidate or another, you are a white supremacist or a racist, these are Little drops of water attacking Americans’ right to vote for whom they want.

When the news media is hoping for a recession to change the political leadership of the country, it is no wonder that investor confidence is low. The head of client services at Wells Fargo says: "U.S. Investor Confidence sinks to a three year low." Should we be surprised with 93% of the news, almost every night in the major media outlets being harmful, Little drops of water?

The current message from the media is we need a recession to defeat Republicans. Bill Maher says, "I'm hoping for a Crashing Economy." The Left believes Americans need to suffer for their sin of voting for Donald Trump, and a recession is just what America needs to purge itself of Republicans. Many other news outlets have taken up the mantra of recession, all to scare the American people with the hope they will vote Democrat in 2020. Little drops of water.

Let's go back to that 93% number; Harvard did a study and found that CNN’s and NBC’s coverage of Donald Trump was 93% negative; continuing three years of Little drops of water. For almost two and one-half years, we were told all the things President Trump did with the Russians, with no supporting evidence, just to try and undermine the relationship between him and his voters, Little drops of water.

The president has been called a Nazi, a communist; he has been accused of collusion with the Russians to overturn our election process. He has been accused of treason, and of being a traitor. All of these Little drops of water are eroding the president’s ability to govern as well as the confidence the American people have in him.

During this past summer, the very Constitution that formed this country is now being called outdated and needing to be rewritten. The Left is demanding that we have to get rid of freedom of speech. The Speaker of the House, third in the line of succession to the President, supports amending the Constitution to give the congress the ability to govern Freedom of speech. Little drops of water.

Cory Booker believes that Trump’s re-election rallies should be banned because Booker believes they are white supremacist meetings. He wants to take away your freedom of assembly, Little drops of water.

The Left wants to take away guns from law-abiding citizens and talks about the number of people killed in mass shootings, as if law-abiding citizens had anything to do with these tragic events. According to Bling, so far in 2019 in the United States, 246 people have died in mass shootings, and 979 people were injured, Little drops of water. However, in the city of Chicago alone, 1,800 people were shot, and 330 have been killed so far in 2019. One can say 35% more people were killed in Chicago then in all the mass shootings in the entire nation. Little drops of water.

Last year 72,000 people died in the United States from fentanyl, a substance more deadly than gun violence and auto accidents combined. Why was there more print and air time in the media in reporting mass shootings than those who died from fentanyl? Because of the Left and the media, mass shootings fit their political agenda, much more than drug overdoses. Little drops of water.

One recent attack on the foundations of our country is the recommendations of Ilhan Omar that the United Nations take over America's Border Crisis. The very organization to whom she wants to turn over control of the American border is accused of turning a blind eye to the number of child rapes committed by its own people. Why would you, the American people, want to bring in the United Nations to run our borders? The Left wants an international populist government and the UN is their best option. Little drops of water.

Have you forgotten when the Left told us there was no crisis at the border, yet now they acknowledge it exists and want the UN to fix it? Little drops of water.

America is at its most significant crossroad, I believe, in our history and you the American voter will single handily determine the fate of the nation. For over three years, and it will be four by the time of the 2020 election, Little drops of water have been trying to break the stone conviction of our beliefs in the Constitution and America. The question is will there only be sand left of what America used to be after the election?

Perkins Twist: I believe that no matter how much the Left and the media are trying to destroy our Constitution and our nation, the American people, the true patriots, will go to the polls and reject the Left and its agenda, perhaps in record numbers. Keep this thought in mind: if they can get rid of the Electoral College, how long will it be before they want to repeal the number of terms a President can serve? If there were no term limits, would Obama still be President?
