Thursday, 09 January 2025 09:33 AM EST

The United States under President-elect Donald Trump is unlikely to use military force to gain new territories, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said Thursday.

"I rule out the possibility that the US in the next few years will try to forcibly annex territories," Meloni said in a press conference, when asked about Trump's remarks on Greenland and Panama.
