New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie got fed up with questions about whether the federal government should regulate fantasy football at Wednesday's GOP presidential debate.

"We are talking about getting government involved in fantasy football?" an incredulous Christie asked. "Wait a second, we have $19 trillion in debt, people out of work, ISIS and al Qaeda attacking us, and we're talking about fantasy football? Can we stop?"

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz could be seen nodding in agreement. Cruz himself had blasted the moderators earlier in the debate for their line of questioning that he said didn't focus on the real issues.

Fantasy football, where players build there own teams and win money based on how players perform on the field, has come under scrutiny after a scandal involving employees from competing companies won money from each other's companies based on information they had from working for their own firms.

"Enough on fantasy football," Christie said. "Let people play. Who cares?"
