Christopher Ruddy: 'My Head Is Still Spinning' Over Carson's Trump Endorsement
Newsmax Media CEO Christopher Ruddy

Newsmax Media CEO Christopher Ruddy said Friday "my head is still spinning" after Ben Carson readily endorsed Donald Trump after some of the harsh attacks the Republican front-runner made on the retired pediatric neurosurgeon during the campaign.

"You know how you have a brother and sister and you have a fight and then you call them a jerk and then everything is good the next day," Ruddy likened the endorsement to in talking with Don Lemon on CNN. "Ben Carson, he compared to be being a liar, child molester — all of those things.

"Ben Carson shockingly endorsed him right away.

"I don't think there's any rational explanation for what Ben Carson did after some of the comments that were made," he said. "Any self-respecting person, you would at least give it some time.

"My head is still spinning on that one," Ruddy said, adding that no such approval would come from either Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio because "the fissures are so deep."

"George W. Bush is still very respected."
