Hillary Clinton resigned from the board of her family's foundation Sunday to concentrate on her just-announced presidential campaign,
Politico reports.
"While I have cherished my time serving on the board and engaging in the day-to-day work of the Foundation, in order to devote myself to this new, all-encompassing endeavor, I have resigned from the Board of Directors effective today,” she wrote in an email to foundation employees, Politico said.
The foundation, created as the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation after husband Bill Clinton left the White House, the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation when the former secretary of state and her daughter joined the $2 billion international charity in 2013.
