Hillary Clinton's campaign slammed Donald Trump for promoting "deranged conspiracy theories" about the former secretary of state's health.

"While it is dismaying to see the Republican nominee for president push deranged conspiracy theories in a foreign policy speech, it's no longer surprising," said Jennifer Palmieri, the Clinton campaign's communication director, according to Politico.

Trump said that Clinton "lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on" the Islamic State, The Hill reports. He also speculated that Clinton's speeches showed a lack of energy, since they "don't last long. They're like 10 minutes and let's get out of here."

"Go back home and go to sleep," the Republican nominee continued in speech on foreign policy Monday. "Three days later, she gets back up and does another one and goes back home and goes to sleep."

Clinton's campaign released a statement from her doctor, Dr. Lisa Bardack, who denounced rumors about the former First Lady being in poor health as fake.

"As Secretary Clinton's long-time physician, I released a medical statement during the campaign indicating that she is in excellent health," Dr. Bardack said.

The campaign also released a 2015 statement from Dr. Bardack that gave Clinton a clean bill of health, while acknowledging her 2012 concussion and hypothyroidism. The doctor said she is in "excellent physical condition and fit to serve as President of the United States."

A video of Clinton reacting to a reporter's question with an exaggerated shake of her head prompted rumors of a hidden neurological condition, which her campaign and the reporter who asked the question have both denied.
