The campaign for Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton is pleading poverty in a new fundraising email — despite a hefty warchest that's reportedly amassed $100 million, reports say.

In an email entitled "Nervous," campaign manager Robby Mook tells supporters of the tough financial straits ahead of the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary, the Daily Caller reports.

"Adding more TV ads just isn't in our budget," Mook writes, the Daily Caller reports.

"Last month, we told you about how much money [presidential primary rival Sen.] Bernie Sanders' campaign was raising. Now, the other shoe has dropped: I just found out that he's outspending us on TV advertising in Iowa and New Hampshire."

According to a CNN report last month, Clinton's campaign was estimated to surpass its $100 million fundraising goal for its first three quarters.

In the last quarter of 2015 filed a week ago, the Associated Press reported Clinton's campaign had $38 million in cash on hand. Sanders' camp raised $33 million.

"I'm not trying to be dramatic about this (I swear! I'm really not!), but there's a situation developing in Iowa and New Hampshire that could change the course of this election," Mook writes, The Daily Caller reports.

Mook writes that money raised has already been allocated elsewhere.

"We're locked into spending critical funds on organizing and field offices, and if we cut into that budget, we’ll lose what this campaign is all about," the email states, the Daily Caller writes. ""I’m not going to do that. The only way to fix this is with your help. Chip in $1 today, and help close the gap in Iowa and New Hampshire."

The American Mirror calls the money plea a "remarkable" given the reported estimates of the campaign's war chest.

But Political Insider for Newsmax Dick Morris, a former Clinton adviser, tells The American Mirror there may be more than money concerning the campaign.

"For Hillary to admit, this far in advance, that she might lose Iowa and/or New Hampshire, we can only speculate on what her private polls must be showing," he says.
