Hillary Clinton has got her post-convention bump and now leads Donald Trump by 3 points in a new national poll.
Clinton has 43 percent support in
the Morning Consult poll released Sunday, compared to 40 percent for Trump, the GOP presidential nominee.
One week ago, Trump was beating Clinton 44 percent to 40 percent. But 1 in 5 voters, or 17 percent, are still undecided.
Clinton is getting increased support from men and independents in the new poll, conducted after last week's Democratic National Convention. She also has overwhelming support from young voters.
The former secretary of state has a 5-point lead over Trump when Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson is factored in. In that scenario, Clinton has 41 percent support, compared to Trump with 36 percent and Johnson with 11 percent. The poll of 1,931 registered voters has a margin of error of 2 percentage points.
