CNN Exit Polls: GOP Voters 'Very Worried' About Economy

Republicans casting votes Tuesday in both Michigan and Mississippi are very worried about the U.S. economy — and they believe that foreign trade deals take away American jobs, according to CNN exit poll results.

But the voters are split on whether illegal immigrants should be deported.

Here is the breakdown of the results:

What are your feelings on the U.S. economy?

Mississippi:
  • Very worried: 81 percent.
  • Somewhat worried: 10 percent.
  • Not worried at all: 6 percent.
Michigan:
  • Very worried: 63 percent.
  • Somewhat worried: 29 percent.
  • Not worried at all: 5 percent.
How do foreign trade agreements affect U.S. jobs?

Mississippi:
  • Take away jobs: 53 percent.
  • Create jobs: 37 percent.
  • Do not affect U.S. jobs: 7 percent.
Michigan:
  • Take away jobs: 53 percent.
  • Create jobs: 34 percent.
  • Do not affect jobs: 8 percent.
What should be done with illegal immigrants in the United States?

Mississippi:
  • Deport them: 51 percent.
  • Offer legal status: 46 percent.
Michigan:
  • Offer status: 56 percent.
  • Deport them: 37 percent.
