Former GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush lashed out at nominee Donald Trump's hot-mic remarks bragging that he could kiss and touch women with impunity because he's famous — calling the comments "reprehensible."
The condemnation was among a flood of denouncements from GOP conservatives following the release of the remarks by the Washington Post on Friday.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who also was a GOP primary contender for the White House, also blasted Trump.
And Illinois GOP Sen. Mark Kirk called Trump a "malignant clown."
Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney weighed in.
MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin tweeted out a blast from Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus:
As well as a statement from the highest ranking Republican woman in the House, Washington Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers:
GOP Sen. Kelly Ayotte, who came under fire for saying she would "absolutely" call Trump a good role model for kids – forcing her to walk back the remarks later – also condemned the remarks.
Conservative radio host Steve Deace also joined the chorus of condemnation.
And fellow Iowa conservative, A.J. Spiker, who was past chairman of the Iowa Republican Party, called for Trump to step down as nominee.
Trump critic, Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake, said "America deserves far better."
