Trump: Corrupt Media Won't Cover 'Amazing' WikiLeaks Revelations

By    |   Tuesday, 18 October 2016 04:02 PM EDT

Donald Trump slammed the "corrupt media" to Newsmax TV on Tuesday, accusing journalists of ignoring the "amazing" WikiLeaks revelations about Democrat Hillary Clinton.

"They are not covered like they should, because they're covering fictitious stories — and they're covering lies," the nominee told "The Joe Pags Show" in an interview. "They'd rather do it that way.

"They know it's a lie, but they'd rather do that," Trump added, referring to allegations of sexual assault lodged by at least 10 women against the Republican candidate. "The WikiLeaks are amazing — and they're not being covered or being covered very little."

Trump noted revelations disclosed in documents released Monday by the FBI, that show State Department official Patrick Kennedy tried repeatedly to sway the agency's investigation into Clinton's private email server.

"This last one, with the FBI and the State Department, is terrible," Trump told Pags.

"That's Watergate — and they're giving it very little coverage.

"I find it very sad for the country — and people, we're all sort of the like the forgotten man and woman. It's incredible what's going on.

"They put front-page stories on meaningless [topics] — and they take things like the FBI and the State Department stories, which is Watergate, and they give it very little coverage.

"It's incredible."
