President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Saturday to question why Democrat Hillary Clinton had not faced criminal prosecution for her private email use while Michael Flynn's "life is destroyed" after his guilty plea for lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts.
Here are Trump's tweets:
Flynn, whom Trump fired as national security adviser in February amid questions about his disclosures about his contacts to Vice President Mike Pence, was the first to have served in the White House to plead guilty in the Moscow probe.
The president has repeatedly called on the Justice Department to investigate Clinton for her private email use.
On Saturday, July 2, 2016, Clinton was interviewed for three-and-a-half hours at FBI headquarters by then-Director James Comey, whom Trump fired in May of this year.
Three days later, on the Tuesday after the July 4 holiday, Comey announced that he would not recommend criminal charges against the former secretary of state.
But Comey ripped Clinton and her staff as "reckless" and "extremely careless" with the private server use.
He briefly reopened the investigation days before the Nov. 8 election.
