Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Thursday that "I just don't care" about the results of Monday's Iowa caucuses because "I'm into New Hampshire now."
"It's one of those things, a lot of strange things," Trump told Anderson Cooper
on CNN in an interview at a local restaurant in Manchester, N.H. "I've been here now for two days, I'm so much into this — into new Hampshire that I just don't care about that."
Trump had attacked Ted Cruz since the caucuses, saying that the "stole" his 27.6 percent victory after his campaign falsely spread rumors that rival Ben Carson was dropping out and that caucus-goers should vote for him.
The developer finished in second place, with 24 percent, while Marco Rubio ended with 23 percent and Carson 9 percent.
"I like Ben Carson very much," Trump told Cooper. "He got pretty roughed up, frankly, although it affected me maybe more than Ben."
Trump praised the people of the Granite State, which holds its primary on Tuesday, and said he would "love to be number one in New Hampshire. It would send a great signal."
He added that he loved the term "Trumper Tantrum" that Cruz created on Twitter in response to his rants about his second-place finish in the Hawkeye State.
"I love that phrase. That's great. I love that phrase."
When Cooper asked whether he might trademark the name, Trump replied: "I like that. I may have to. That's good.
"I'm going to trademark that before he does."
