After a 2010 interview surfaced of Megyn Kelly and Howard Stern engaging in some graphic sex talk, Republican presidential candidate and businessman Donald Trump continues to double down on the Fox News star, tweeting that he is "the innocent (pure) one."
Kelly, one of the three Fox News moderators in Thursday's debate, called Trump out on past tweets he's made that many consider sexist. Now, between
the Stern interview and questions of her treatment of Trump, Kelly is receiving backlash from the GOP front-runner and his supporters for conduct they consider inappropriate and hypocritical.
Wrote Trump on Twitter:
In the interview, Kelly discussed both her breasts and her husband's penis size with Stern.
In the GOP debate, Trump has said that the
Fox News star was visibly angry after he responded "just Rosie O'Donnell" to her question of him having called women demeaning names in the past.
Trump supporters were also bothered by her easygoing chat with Stern, and the offense she took with Trump.
"She laughs and is OK with Stern discussing penises, breasts, in a very trashy nonchalant way," said Walid and Theodore Shoebat on Shoebat.com. "Kelly is the one who owes women an apology, not Trump for making comments about Kelly."
Trump was certain of that. As he said on Monday's MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program: "The fact is she asked me a very inappropriate question ... She should be apologizing to me, if you want to know the truth."
