Donald Trump met Sunday with three women who have accused former President Bill Clinton of sexual misdeeds, and one whom Hillary Clinton opposed in a child rape case, hours before his second debate with the former secretary of state in St. Louis, saying "these four women have asked to be here."
"It was our honor to help them," Trump said at a news conference with the women at a local hotel that was broadcast on Facebook Live.
The four include the three accusers – Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey.
Also present was Kathy Shelton, whose 41-year-old accuser Hillary Clinton represented as a public defender in a rape case. Shelton was 12 years old.
Trump's meeting came in light of Friday's leak of a 2005 videotape of the nominee making crude remarks about women and a statement from the Clinton campaign Saturday the former secretary of state would not comment on the tape before the debate.
"I'm here to support Mr. Trump because he's going to make America great again," Jones said. "Everybody else should vote for him.
"They should all look at the fact that he's a good person," Jones said. "He's not what other people have been saying he's been, like Hillary."
Shelton followed, who said: "At 12 years old, Hillary put me through something that you should never put a 12-year-old through.
"She says she's for women and children. She was asked last year what happened, and she said she's supposed to defend whether they did it or not," Shelton said. "She laughed on tape, saying she knows they did it."
"You went through a lot?" Trump asked.
"Yes, sir, I did," Shelton responded.
Broaddrick referred to her Twitter storm Saturday in which she supported Trump in light of the leak of the 2005 video.
"I tweeted recently, and Mr. Trump retweeted it, that actions speak louder than words," she said. "Mr. Trump may have said some bad words, but Bill Clinton raped me and Hillary Clinton threatened me.
"I don't think there is any comparison."
Willey said she was a Trump supporter from the moment he announced his candidacy in June 2015.
"The first day that he announced for president, he said: 'I love this country, and I want America to be great again.' I cried when he said that because I think this is the greatest country in the world," Willey said. "I think that we can do anything.
"I think we can accomplish anything. I think we can bring peace to this world – and I think Donald Trump can deliver us to that point."
