Less than a week after two New York City Police Department officers were assassinated, Erica Garner circulated personal information about one of the officers involved in the chokehold death of her father, Eric Garner,
the New York Post reports.
In a tweet sent on Christmas Day, Erica Garner posted a link to a website that contained personal information, including addresses, for Justin D’Amico, who, she noted, was "another officer that helped killed [sic] my dad," according to The Post.
The site also had addresses of five possible relatives of D'Amico.
Two more individuals were arrested on Christmas for allegedly making threats against the NYPD, bringing the number of arrests to seven since NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were murdered,
CNN reports.
"She clearly wants someone to go to the officer’s house and assassinate him in cold blood just like Ramos and Liu," said a police source who spoke to the Post.
The
NYPD has announced road closings for the wake to honor Ramos and his funeral, both events that could lead to more confrontations.
Officer D’Amico was granted immunity after he offered testimony before the Staten Island grand jury that was weighing charges against officer Daniel Pantaleo for applying a fatal chokehold on Garner on July 17 as he was being arrested for allegedly peddling loose cigarettes illegally,
according to ABC News.
Since Liu and Ramos' murders, hundreds of oral and online threats have been made, but the NYPD has considered only about 40 to be serious in nature,
according to The New York Times.
While rallies in New York seemed to be calm on Christmas Day, they erupted into violence in Oakland, California, with protesters breaking store windows and chanting, "What do we want? Justice! When do we want it? Now!" and "F.T.P.! F— the police!,"
reports the San Francisco Chronicle.
