Gingrich Lashes Out at Comey for Caving In to Political Pressure

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich has accused FBI Director James Comey of caving in to political pressure after he announced in a letter to congressmen that the FBI, after checking a batch of recently discovered emails, stands by its conclusion in July that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton should not face criminal charges connected to her private email server she had as secretary of state.

Gingrich, who has been a key backer of Republican candidate Donald Trump, expressed his view in a tweet.

Comey must be under enormous political pressure to cave like this and announce something he cant possibly know.

A short while later, Gingrich sent out another tweet on the subject.
