Donald Trump became "deranged" and "unhinged" during Monday night's presidential debate, Hillary Clinton's campaign said.
"We assumed he would maintain his composure. He could not," Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said, reports the Washington Examiner. "He became unhinged ... It reinforced the case we've been making the entire campaign.
"This is somebody who is fundamentally unfit, unprepared to be president. He will be over his head the minute he steps into office."
Brian Fallon, a spokesperson for the Clinton campaign, added more criticism.
"A lot of his comments were frankly deranged," Fallon said. "He went on a deranged rant where he again lied about his support for the Iraq War ... We saw the real Trump tonight."
Some are saying that Trump fared well in the opening segment of Monday's showdown at Hofstra University. After that, Clinton stepped up her attacks and put Trump on his heels for the rest of the 90-minute event.
Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean, who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2004, took his criticism of Trump one step further.
Regarding Trump's continued sniffling while he was speaking, Dean asked his Twitter followers if the real estate mogul had been using cocaine.
The Trump campaign had its own spin on the debate, with the candidate saying he did "really well" despite "some hostile questions" from moderator Lester Holt.
