The ink may still be wet on a
nuclear accord reached between Iran and Western powers but critics — including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — have already taken to social media to decry it.
The post quotes parts of his statement at his meeting Tuesday with Netherlands Foreign Minister Bert Koenders.
He also called the deal "a historic mistake."
The Jerusalem Post reported Tuesday that in anticipation of an announcement about a nuclear deal, Netanyahu had opened a Twitter account in Farsi, the language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.
In Farsi, the prime minister posted a message criticizing the deal that evoked seething replies.
"With the continuation of the show of compromising with Iran, the path to Iran getting a nuclear bomb is paved, and they are being given billions of dollars for terrorism and invasion," Netanyahu wrote.
Farsi speakers lashed out at Netanyahu, suggesting that he gouge out his own eyes among other, more lewd, comments, according to the Post.
The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reports that Netanyahu also has Twitter accounts in Hebrew, Arabic, and English.
Secure America Now, a nonprofit that bills itself as providing a nonpartisan voice and platform to those who share U.S. national security concerns, also slammed the deal. It posted on Twitter:

Yahoo News reports that the deal calls for Tehran to "get access to more than $100 billion in frozen assets when the Iran nuclear agreement is implemented, which depends on when Tehran has curbed its nuclear program and the U.N. nuclear watchdog has certified this."
