First lady Michelle Obama is being hypocritical when she criticizes GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's vulgar language about women, but invites rappers to the White House who do the same, talk radio host Rush Limbaugh told his audience on Thursday.
"It doesn't matter what party you belong to — Democrat, Republican, independent — no woman deserves to be treated this way. No one deserves this kind of abuse," Obama said earlier Thursday at a New Hampshire rally in support of Democrat Hillary Clinton.
Trump has dismissed an audio recording made in 2005 by an "Access Hollywood" crew where he can be talking about women in crude, sexual terms as "locker room talk." And he has said stories over the past two days from women accusing him of forcibly touching them are lies and a plot by the Clinton campaign to destroy him.
"The men in my life do not talk about women like this," Obama said. "To dismiss this as everyday locker room talk is an insult to decent men everywhere."
Limbaugh challenged that, noting that she and President Barack Obama have invited rappers to the White House, and their lyrics are not exactly complimentary of women.
"Men brag, and she is telling people that she doesn't know men who brag," Limbaugh said. "You know the people that have been to the White House? How about some of the rappers that talk about their b---- and their hos have performed such lyrics in the White House? But she doesn't know men who talk and sing about sexual assault. It's all over hip-hop lyrics and has been for a while!"
Breitbart reported in April that rapper Rick Ross was invited to the White House "youth empowerment program." Ross was indicted in March on charges of kidnapping and assault after he caught two workers throwing a party at his 235-acre Georgia estate without his permission.
He lost a footwear endorsement deal with Reebok in 2013 after talking about spiking a woman's drink in a song.
The Daily Mail quoted former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey reading lyrics from Beyonce's song "Formation" on CNN:
"I came to slay b----, when he F me good I take his a-- to Red Lobster," she read.
