Lindsey Graham: Trump the GOP's 'Michael Moore Candidate'

Donald Trump has become "the Michael Moore candidate of the Republican Party," Sen. Lindsey Graham said Monday, slamming the GOP front-runner for laying the blame for 9/11 attacks on former President George W. Bush.

In an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America," the South Carolina lawmaker, who dropped out of the presidential primary and now backs Jeb Bush, said calling the 43rd president a "liar" and accusing his administration of liability for the terror attacks is "something that only comes from the kook part of America."

"He has become the Michael Moore candidate of the Republican Party," Graham said, referring to the liberal filmmaker of "Roger and Me," adding later to explain:

"What he said about President George W. Bush being a liar and that the Bush administration is the cause of 9/11 is Michael Moore stuff."

In the last GOP presidential debate last Saturday, Trump said the former president "lied" to the American people by suggesting there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, even though "they knew there were none."
