NBC/Marist Poll: McConnell Leads Grimes by 9 Points

The latest NBC News/Marist Poll shows Republican Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell up 9 points over Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes.

According to the poll, McConnell has hit the magic 50-percent number vital to incumbents winning re-election. McConnell leads 50 percent to Grimes' 41 percent.

The poll was conducted with 556 likely voters between October 27-30 and has a margin of error of 4.2 percentage points.
