The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), a prominent Muslim group in the U.S., is challenging Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump to debate "the issues" he has "raised about Islam and Muslims," The Hill reports.

"Ever since you announced your run for presidency of the United States, you have scapegoated the American Muslim community and other minority groups for all your perceived ills of America," MPAC wrote in a letter to the Trump campaign.

The letter also accused the real estate mogul of being "scared of anything that is different than you" and just last Friday, he came under fire yet again for citing a "hoax tale" of a general who dipped bullets in pigs' blood to deter Muslims.

"You rely on the promotion of fear and Internet lies to fuel the flames of hate and divisiveness across our country," the letter added. "Well, we have news for you: We will no longer be bullied. We will no longer be your punching bag."

According to The Hill, if Trump agrees to the public policy organization's challenge, the billionaire will debate a representative from the American-Muslim community.
