Election forecaster Nate Silver is standing firm on Hillary Clinton's lead over Donald Trump as the race for the White House enters its critical hours.
Silver, the editor-in-chief of FiveThirtyEight blog, predicts:
- Clinton leads Trump 48.6 percent to 45.5 percent.
- She would get 292.6 electoral votes to Trump's 244.6 (270 electoral votes are needed to win).
- Clinton has a 65.5 percent chance of winning compared to Trump's 34.5 percent chance.
Silver noted Sunday the former secretary of state was not "in a terribly safe position," Fox News reported.
"The electoral map is actually less solid for Clinton than it was for [President Barack] Obama four years ago," he added.
